Here are some useful, helpful notes for the Lemon Rice Recipe to add:

Recipe Notes:

  1. Oil Substitute: You can use olive or coconut oil instead of regular cooking oil for a healthier alternative.
  2. Spice Adjustment: Adjust the number of red chillies based on your preferred spice level. If you prefer less spicy, reduce the quantity or omit it entirely.
  3. Asafoetida: Asafoetida (hing) adds a unique flavour to the dish but is optional. You can skip it if you don’t have it on hand.
  4. Groundnut Quantity: The peanuts add a nice crunch and flavour to the rice. Adjust the quantity based on your preference.
  5. Serving Suggestions: Lemon rice pairs well with papadum, coconut chutney, or simple raita (a yoghurt-based side dish) for a complete meal.
  6. Onion Substitute: If Bellary onions are unavailable, you can use regular red onions lots for a similar flavour.
  7. Turmeric: Use only the specified amount of turmeric powder, which adds colour and flavour but can become overpowering if too much is used.
  8. Rice Choice: For the best texture, use short—or medium-grain rice. Basmati or Sona Masoori rice also works well for lemon rice.
  9. Lemon Juice: Fresh lemon juice gives the dish a tangy flavour. Adjust the amount of lemon juice to balance the tanginess according to your taste.
  10. Make It Vegan: This recipe is naturally vegan, so no modifications are needed for a plant-based diet.

These notes will help users customize the recipe based on their preferences and make the dish taste delicious.
